Akkrum Train Station in the Netherlands

Located in the city of Akkrum, about 17 km south of the town of Leeuwarden, in the Netherlands, Akkrum train station represents a very important station of the country of Holland.

Inaugurated on the 1st of September, in the year of 1868, the railway station is part of the Arnhem – Leeuwarden line, the services being operated by the Nederlandse Spoorwegen.

The Akkrum train station allows travelers to get in the shortest time to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Amsterdam South, Amersfoort, Leewarden, Hilversum railway station and to Zwolle. In order to get to the Amsterdam city centre, travelers must change at Hilversum onto a train to Amsterdam Central. The trains have a frequency of one per hour. Bus services 11 and 28 connect the train station to the city, but also a taxi station. Akkrum Railway Station is located at 5 km from the centre of the town.
