

Alicante Train Station is located on Avda. De Salamanaca, in the city of Alicante, Spain.
It is the central station of Alicante, and part of the station network of ADIF , and head of the Madrid-Alicante (KP 454.7). It is the end of the line station, requiring all trains to reverse their direction in order to leave the station.
The station was opened in 1858 as part of the network of the Railway Company from Madrid to Zaragoza and Alicante. The Alicante train station is 153 years old now, and while it has undergone minor alterations, it remains essentially the same building that was erected in 1858. The Commuter service station has trains departing at a frequency of 1-2 trains per hour in the C-1 sector. Several trains per day depart from the C-3 sector.
