The Ljubljana Railway Station is the central station in the capital of Slovenia; the building is an admiring old construction dating from 1849. The Slovenian people have been so proud that the famous writer James Joyce had passed through the train station that they erected a monument in his memorial, in 2003.
About the Ljubljana Railway Station
Though Slovenia is not a notorious country for great economical achievements it does have a good infrastructure when we refer to the rail network. Most important cities are only three hours away train travel from the capital so it might make a good choice to comfortably visit the country from this point.
Since its inauguration the Ljubljana Railway Station had been included in the international railway network on the route Vienna (Austria) to Trieste (Italy). Nowadays it has connections with most of its neighbor countries: Croatia, Austria, Hungary but not only.
